December 11, 2025 –SPS announced today that it was awarded a ﬁrm ﬁxed price indeﬁnite delivery / indeﬁnite quantity contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command to produce and deliver ﬁeld Maintenance Support Device Version 4 (MSD-V4) for rapid diagnostics of air and ground combat platform-based mission systems.

MSD-V4 2nd Generation is the next generation of ﬁeld-portable test, diagnostic, and software maintenance equipment, enabling Soldiers to rapidly detect faults, restore systems, and maintain mission readiness across more than 50 weapon systems used by 30+ Military Occupational Specialties. As the Army’s second largest computing program, MSD is the essential computational “backbone” empowering maintainers in austere environments.

SPS’s key partner in the MSD program is Leonardo DRS, a proven leader in advanced ruggedized combat computing and networking systems for the U.S. military and allied militaries around the world.

MSD-V4 can work with all Army tactical air and ground platform ﬂeets. It supports a range of communications equipment, artillery and missile systems, individual and crew served weapons and many other mission critical systems.

Work under this contract will be performed at SPS and Leonardo DRS Land Electronics facilities in Huntsville, Alabama.
