SPS has extensive experience with Total Package Fielding (TPF), the Army's standard process for fielding new weapons, equipment, and other materiel systems. The Army began using TPF on a test basis in 1984 and made it the standard fielding process in 1987.
SPS follows the Army’s TPF process to ensure that units receive fully supportable materiel systems and required support with as little disruption of the unit's day-to-day missions as possible.
Elements of SPS's TPF support include:
- Requirements Determination
- Materiel Requirements List (MRL) Coordination
- Staging
- Joint Supportability Assessment
- Deprocessing
- Joint Inventory
